Androstene
Androstene is a hormone naturally produced by the body
and is the precursor to testosterone. Oral forms of Androstene have
become very popular and promise to dramatically increase
the level of testosterone in the body. Androstene is a metabolite
of DHEA. While both Androstene and DHEA covert to testosterone, DHEA
requires three to four metabolic reactions in the body compared to only
one reaction required by Androstene. CAUTION: Products that contain one or more forms of Androstenedione or Androstenediol are used by many athletes as a means to increase levels of testosterone and/or nortestosterone. These products may prove highly effective, but should be used with an equal degree of caution. A product containing any form of these hormones should be not used by anyone under 18 years of age or individuals with known medical conditions including enlargement of the prostate and high blood pressure.
