Calcium carbonate is an inexpensive supplement which is an effective source of calcium for many people, but not for those with inadequate stomach acid or other absorption problems. Since older people often have such problems, this product is not recommended as a calcium source for those over 50. However, calcium carbonate is a very good buffering agent to be added to acidic vitamins in solution in order to neutralize their pH and make them more palatable with fewer side effects for everyone. At the same time this buffering action separates the calcium from the carbonate making it more absorbable.

This product contains NO sugar, yeast, wheat, gluten, soy or dairy. Contains NO artificial color, sweeteners, flavors or preservatives.

Dosage and use

• 1/4 teaspoon in a glass of juice or mixed with acidic vitamins is suggested.
  
• This product is most effectively utilized when taken in divided doses with low fiber meals.
