#3160 PENNYROYAL HERB (Mentha pulegium) As a hot infusion, this herb is used for colds, fevers and flus as it promotes sweating. Pennyroyal contains a volatile oil which helps to relieve flatulence. It may be used internally or externally (in a footbath) to help bring on suppressed menstrual flow. Pennyroyal has been used to induce abortions but may have very serious consequences. Other uses include: for colic and spasms; toothache; gout; leprosy; consumption; and phlegm in the chest and lungs. CAUTION: Pennyroyal should not be used by pregnant women or if pregnancy is suspected. The essential oil taken internally is toxic and has caused a number of deaths in women who have tried to induce abortion with the oil.

Use 6-12 drops in juice, water, under the tongue or as desired. May be taken 3 times daily. Shake well. Store in cool dark place. Keep out of reach of children.

WARNING: Do not take while pregnant or if you think you might be pregnant.
