Because of the risk of skin cancer, sunbathers have cut down on the amount of time they spend in the sun. The sun’s damaging ultraviolet radiation has been cited as a cause of certain skin cancers. These concerns have resulted in the proliferation of many sunscreen products on the market.

The Sun Protection Spray carries a sunscreen product developed by life extension scientists, Durk & Sandy Shaw, that protects the skin from sunlight while allowing the “good” rays in for a healthy tan.

Maui SolarMax is a scientifically formulated sunscreen product that is quickly absorbed into the skin. The amazingly waterproof formula contains sunscreen active ingredients and antioxidant nutrients such as vitamins A, C, D, and E, and the luxuriously exotic macadamia nut oil, all to moisturize and protect. In fact, macadamia nut has high levels of palmitoleic acid, a monounsaturated fatty acid that has proven to be a great antioxidant on the skin. Drying out of the skin will not happen with Maui SolarMax, as the isopropyl alcohol contained in the product will evaporate almost immediately, leaving the skin to absorb the moisturizers.

Not only is it a protection against ultraviolet radiation, it is also highly waterproof. Once it’s applied, Maui SolarMax stays on until you wash it off with soap, no matter how many times you go into water. The product also has an SPF rating of 17, which means you can take 17 times more exposure to the sun before sunburn starts.

Based on the nourishing ingredients and UV protection in this product, Maui SolarMax can be considered a healthy skin guard. It’s also safer for sensitive skin—it has no PABA or benzophenone.

Active Ingredients:

Octyl p-methoxycinnamate, titanium dioxide, octyl salicylate, and methyl anthranilate.

Other Ingredients: Isopropanol, maca-damia nut oil, vitamins E and C, BHT, triethanolamine citrate, triethanolamine malate, vitamins A and D, triethanolamine etidronate, PABA and Benzophenone Free. SPF rating 17.

Directions: shake well before using. Apply Maui SolarMax liberally before sun exposure and reapply after 90 minutes in the water or after strenuous exercise. For children under 6 months of age seek advice and supervision of a physician.

Directions for Face: Shake well. Spray Maui SolarMax into palm. Rub hands gently and apply evenly to face. Avoid eyes.

Directions for Body: Shake well. Spray evenly onto body. Rub in gently as needed.
