#3199 WITCH HAZEL (Hamamelis virginiana) Internally, Witch Hazel is used for diarrhea and hemorrhage. Externally, it is used as a rinse or gargle for sore throats; as a vaginal douche for vaginitis and leucorrhea; as a wash for inflammation of the eyes; as a compress for inflamed bed sores, skin irritations, bruises, bites, stings, minor burns, poison ivy, hemorrhoids, bleeding, varicose veins, and nose bleeds.
