Buffered Vitamin C Powder
Vitamin C, or ascorbic acid, is a white, crystalline, water-soluble substance found in citrus fruits and green vegetables. Vitamin
C benefits include: - Improve immune
function - Maintain healthy
skin and blood vessels - Accelerate healing
- Reduce allergic reactions Vitamin C also comes in at least two other forms, chemically bonded to minerals as ascorbates, and to the fat palmitic acid, as ascorbyl palmitate which is a fat soluble version of vitamin C. Both of these forms are non-acidic. Caution: Note: Dosage and
use - A prophylactic
dosage of 2.5 to 6 grams of various forms of vitamin C daily is recommended.
- Up to 15 grams
daily, may be required when attempting to eliminate or halt the progression
of diseases. - Large doses of
ascorbic or ascorbates and any dose of ascorbyl palmitate should be
consumed with meals. - All vitamin C
products should be stored away from heat, light, and moisture although
this is most important for pure ascorbic acid and ascorbyl palmitate
powders. - Buffered Vitamin C Powder contains four buffering minerals, in addition to ascorbic acid. When mixed with water, this product produces a reduced acid solution that is nonirritating to the stomach or intestinal lining. The minerals also make it a more pleasant tasting and healthful drink. The substances used in this product make it effervesce for a short while when first mixed with water. 1 teaspoon
