Fenugreek Seed Liquid Extract #3127 by Health and Herbs

Useful for all mucus conditions and for lung congestion.

Description
Fenugreek is an expectorant, antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, and astringent.

From Herbal Descriptions by Truman Berst: #3127 FENUGREEK (Trigonella foenum-graecum) The benefits of Fenugreek include cleansing to the bronchial passages of catarrh and other -irritants and extraneous materials. It is useful for all mucus conditions and for lung congestion. Soothing to inflamed conditions of the stomach and intestines and for ulcers. Effective as a poultice on wounds, inflamed areas, boils and carbuncles. May be used as a lubricant for the intestines, as a digestive aid, for fevers, diabetes, gout, and as an aphrodisiac and rejuvenator.

Fenugreek has demonstrated significant anti-diabetic effects in experimental and clinical studies. Two studies in the European Journal of Clinical Nutrition reported that Fenugreek improves glucose tolerance in both Type I and Type II diabetes. Consistent intake of fenugreek stimulates pancreatic function. In patients with relatively mild diabetes, fenugreek significantly reduced both fasting and post meal glucose levels and healthy subjects experienced no change in glucose levels.
